Lack of clarity. I was issued a quote to supply and fit as a total without a breakdown of the individual elements. It came in a lot higher than expected and I emailed asking for a breakdown of the cost between the carpet, underlay and fitting cost etc. so I could better understand the total given on the quote which was a little short of £2k. This was to carpet a small bedroom of approx. 18 sq m where I had chosen a carpet which cost £30 psm plus the recommended underlay. I emailed 4 times over a period of several weeks asking for the breakdown. I assume the owner would have received the email as I had exchanged an earlier email with him already at that point and I just responded to the reply he had sent me. So, this company either charges approx. £1,000 to fit the carpet, or has a minimum charge per job (no mention was ever made of this) or a mistake was made on the quote. I'll never know what the answer was because the owner chose not to respond. I have since gone to Tapi carpets and found almost the same carpet which is being supplied and installed for a total cost of approx. £950.

Caveat emptor. The product is good ( albeit at a high price) but the service and attitude is appalling. If you wish to buy for them, make sure you read the small print and be aware that they will take no responsibility for damage caused. My new wooden flooring was damaged during fitting. I was not asked to sign off the installation (which would be standard) and they would not even acknowledge it could have been caused by the fitter. We just used 17 suppliers on renovation of our house. They were the worst for service and attitude.

My experience is with Paul has been appalling. I really wanted to work with them but it was a real challenge to get someone on the phone. When I finally arranged an appointment at the showroom, I travelled a long way to find no one was there! And again when I called Paul it went straight to voicemail. NOT HOW I DO BUSINESS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING

Absolutely wonderful! I really do love this company and I find the owner Paul a rare treasure in the industry! A perfectionist like me and you can always see the difference between a standard installation and a Bowloom one. The difference really is there such attention to detail and a pleasure to have them supply and fit our carpets. I have personally used them three times and I have recommended them to a number of friends and would wholeheartedly give them 5 stars. Paul has always been really helpful with ideas and I absolutely love the stair runner they have fitted for me, which complements the loop carpet that they previously fitted for me. The best!

We had our whole house carpeted by Bowloom including fitting one of their beautiful runners on our staircase. Very pleased with the service and the fitters did an excellent job returning each room exactly the way they found it after laying the carpet (rearranging framed photos on the sideboard, plumping cushions on the sofa, moving our very heavy piano etc.!). We had a small issue which Paul dealt with extremely well. I have recommended Bowloom to all of my friends.
