My husband & I had our wedding this past Sunday, and Nicola was amazing from start to finish. From fitting us in for tastings on Halloween and supplying sweeties for our little girl who wasn't able to go trick or treating, to fitting our rather heavy cake topper on, there was nothing that could stop her. She somehow knew exactly what we were looking for, and gave us the most incredible cake. And the flavours?! To die for! We chose Raspberry Bakewell, Sticky Toffee Pudding & Brown Butter Biscoff; every single person who has eaten any of the tiers couldn't stop raving about how brilliant it tasted! I officially want Nicola to make cakes for every single one of our occasions, haha! The only downside is that the cake was so good, it went far too fast! Thank you so much, Nicola! Where do I start with this review? I can't recommend Nicola enough and she will be my recommendation to everyone going forward. From sending the initial enquiry, to meeting Nicola to discuss what ideas we had, all the way through to seeing the cake on our wedding day, everything was perfect! We chose Nicola to help us with our wedding cake and come up with what we wanted, during very strange COVID times and doing everything remotely, until about 6 months or so before the big day. I picked Nicola based on online reviews and previous photos of her cakes - which just looked amazing! Working with her was truly great - from the start it was stress -free (as planning a wedding can sometimes often be) but even having our sample flavours delivered to us in the post was so personalised and great, it was fabulous. Nicola helped come up with the design of the cake and having her capture it really helped - when I saw it on the day I thought it was fabulous. To be able to have some unusual, great flavours really helped too, and I know that it really went down a real treat with all of our guests. The cake tasted amazing and my gran (who hates anyones baking but her own) said it was just like the cakes she used to bake. This is the biggest compliment anyone could get if you knew my gran! I couldn't recommend Nicola highly enough. Not only was our cake just an absolute showstopper to look at, it was enjoyed so much by each and every one of our guests and rounded off our perfect day! From our first meeting back at the Manchester wedding fair, Nicola's professionalism and passion shone through to us, and once we'd had our tasting and consultation not long after, there was only ever one choice for us. Not only that, but through the toughest of times for the whole wedding industry and two postponements, she supported us, accommodated us and did everything she could to make sure we were at ease and got what we were looking for without hesitation. She's crazy talented at what she does, and a lovely person to speak to and work with on top of that. If we could do our big day all over again, make no mistake we'd want to make sure Boutique Bakery and Nicola were on board, thankyou so much for everything!

Planning a wedding through a variety of lockdowns wasn't easy, but Nicola found ways to make designing our cake and tasting the options fun and special even though we couldn't meet her in person. We chose Nicola for our wedding based on her Instagram feed. We were really taken by the beauty of her cakes and the intricacy of her sugar flowers. We really wanted a show stopper of a cake and decided if she was able to craft such beautiful flowers then she should be able to achieve what we hoped for. We were NOT disappointed. Our cake(s) was more than what we'd hoped for and nothing like any of our guests had seen before! We will definitely be using Boutique Bakery again for future events... and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for similar services, particularly our Cheshire family. We really cannot recommend Nicola enough! I first met her and her husband at the Tatton Park Wedding Show and I knew straight away it had to be Boutique Bakery. Nicola is the most talented baker ever and she made the whole experience so amazingly special. We had a fab time tasting different flavours, getting to know her and also designing a cake. She gave such fab advice and we just trusted her 100%. Our flavours were out of this world and even weeks on from our day guests are still asking about the cake and commenting on how it looked and tasted. Nicola also made our Chief Bridesmaid a beautiful Vegan cake which was equally as amazing, Charlotte absolutely loved it! We moved our wedding date twice due to COVID and each time she accommodated us (despite being crazy busy) but not only that she supported us too and actually helped keep us grounded, reminding us of what is important! She is so lovely and talented. We are so happy Nicola was part of our wedding journey and big day! We look forward to keeping in touch and ordering more yummy treats in the future.
