£26 for Sunday lunch, I was expecting an excellent roast dinner. The beef was grey and not served medium. The roast potatoes were quite hard and not at all crispy, the parsnips were so hard they were inedible, veg cooked well but unseasoned, the gravy tasted like bisto, the red cabbage was just boiled in water and mixed in the with the gravy to act as a sauce and the Yorkshire pudding was not homemade. Wine on wine list not in stock anymore. Underwhelming to say the least. For under £25 a different pub in the area (Michelin guide & Good food guide) can offer a vastly superior Sunday lunch for less. The service we received was warm and friendly, but the quality of the food did not warrant the price. It felt like a school dinner with wine.
