It’s taken me a while to write this review as being a lawyer, I wanted to have the facts from other fertility specialist before I write something like this. From my experience, I would urge you to avoid Bourn Hall LIKE A PLAGUE! Two cycles in 2022 - 1st cycle = 8 eggs and 1 embryo, 2nd cycle 15 eggs and still 1 good embryo, 1 OK. 1st cycle - I had symptoms of OHSS which was ignored. 2nd Cycle, transferred both embryos - I had severe OHSS which was also ignored resulting in me losing a fallopian tube. Me and my husband both said that I was in pain on the day of transfer and yet after 30 second scan they decided to proceed (without consultant’s guidance - you only see consultant once at the beginning). Having now spoken to fertility specialist in Harley Street and US, and having explained the history, the response from them was professional shock - they made it clear that I was overstimulated, that there was failure to spot basic signs of OHSS at which point the transfer MUST have been stopped rather putting me at risk which resulted in me having an emergency surgery. I complained to Bourn Hall, and it came down to them claiming that they had no notes to say that I was in pain. Even though me (and even my husband) raised the pain element on number of occasions, as well as, basic symptoms of OHSS and nobody took notice! Simple negligence. The recommendation for the 3rd cycle was laughable. The other Fertility Specialists, all agreed that the outcome of the 3rd proposed IVF would have been the same as the other two. They also stated that given that I already showed sensitivity to the medication, they would not recommend the medication proposed by Bourn Hall. The fertility speciality we decided to go with at Harley Street, London recommended 1 test which explained the problem in the first place and confirmed that Bourn’s method would not work! Yep, 1 simple additional test explained the issue! If you are having an unexplained infertility, please seek to advice of a fertility specialist rather than just an IVF Clinics. Fertility Specialists are not there just to sell you IVF (whether it’s the right option for your specific requirements or not), fertility specialist want to get to understand the underlying cause, before recommending the right route for you as an individual. Bourn Clinic is more like a factory. Save yourself health and money and go to specialists that focus on you, with whom you can speak to day and night (I can WhatsApp my consultant direct with any concerns and not wait 2 days for a response).

I happy to give 5 stars. They always helpful and full filled our needs. Can’t complain of their services and progress. It’s not only depend on only with them , they will do their side perfect until you doing your side perfect. Lovely staff. Not much waiting for pre booked appointments. Thank you. Only bit worried about the little road going to the clinic from the main road isn’t good while driving

I have recently started my journey with Bourn Hall and can’t thank them enough! They are reassuring and always have time to answer any questions I have. I have previously visited a different clinic and I cannot believe the difference in service I have received. Cannot recommend highly enough!! Thank you so much!

Where do I start. Being charged for medication which wasn’t on my prescription, as the nurse copied and pasted an old prescription over onto my treatment plan. The fact you can’t call anyone, it’s all done on email or over their portal which you can’t access on your phone 🙄. Or them trying to book your cycle so it doesn’t fall on a weekend as god forbid someone has to work on a Saturday or Sunday. Or the lack of compassion from the Dr’s. Dr Nair said to me as I went down for my egg retrieval. “You don’t have many follicles, but we’ll do our best”. They collected 18 (and I’m 39). I complained to a nurse, but I never heard an apology back. They’re still using covid as an excuse. Excuse to not do extra treatments like the intravenous drips, Or the fact they don’t offer a BETA HCG test when your waiting for results. Please don’t waste your money or your time with this clinic. It may have been good, but it’s not at the moment.

I did 3 rounds at BH and we are expecting a boy in November. Dr Barbor was amazing, really cared, she listened, and always remember us and our Journey. She offered all the help and support we needed. She explained things so we understood. (No confusing Dr talk) The embryologist team were always happy to update us on our embryo’s development, and very reassuring. The nurseling Team could be a little hit and miss at times, in regards to attitude. Also, a large amount of time between failed cycles and speaking to the doctor afterwards seems much greater than desired, then you are confused and need closure. However, I was happy with the treatment I received and would recommend this clinic.

My husband and myself were referred by NHS (Lister Hospital, Stevenage) sponsored ICSI treatment to Bourn Hall in 2016. The outcome of this treatment was that I conceived in the first attempt itself with two successful embryos formed. My husband and I were so happy that we are going to have a baby soon. 1 embryo was transferred and the other did make it and was discarded by the clinic upon our consent. Now the outcome of the embryo transferred is that I have a complete paralytic disabled child from the ICSI Bourn Hall has done. I did raise complaint with the NHS complain team after their detailed analysis they clinic says it's not their mistake by submitting a detailed report on what procedure they have done for me and I refuse to believe. These guys have not done their job and have ruined my family life because if which I have gone through a depression attack. My son is 5years old now, he can't walk, talk, epileptic and he just like that. I did never receive any proper support even from NHS during my pregnancy. The entire system is corrupt here. Just because it's NHS sponsored these guys have been lethargic. The clinic should have taken the responsibility during the entire pregnancy parallely with NHS and did further tests like Harmony tests to ensure the child is normal in the womb. Even though down syndrome tests show normal, harmony tests can show if the child has any other problems. Both NHS and Bourn Hall should be blamed for my situation. I hope the media takes up most problem and help me to get Justice. A sad mother who wants her son to atleast walk and talk😢😢😞
