Ok, nice location short walk (5 mins) into Hawes and a good location for visiting the area. Clean site but no light bulbs in the toilet cubical only the shower. Ladies shower only trickled water, usless for washing hair. To top up drinking water in the campervan is a big fat NO, it ran yellow and was full of bits, not good for anything. No washing up sinks. At a cost of £25 a night it is a bit of a rip off as we stayed (the same 2 weeks) in other places for less money and far better facilities. It was clean and friendly and we would go back just for the location

Camped here whilst cycling from Haltwhistle to Hawes. Pleasent owner and basic facilities. OK for a walker or cyclist but probably not suitable for a family holiday. No traffic noise but the sound of the birds was constant all night. If you don't like nature or the outdoors probably not the sure for you. Well worth the £7 so I left £10 in the pot as requested by the owner. Would use again if cycling that way.
