Got a lovely candle from here Puddle Jumping, from the memories collection it's amazing! Very very unique and nothing like I've ever smelt before. It's supposed to be the outside smell of rain, wet grass and just a fresh outdoor day. It's so fresh and the scent is very strong, it lingers in your nose after smelling it. You don't even need to light it to get the aroma, I was a bit on the fence about the price but it was just something so special about it I had to get it. The lady in the shop was lovely and offered us some samples of the body oil and advice on all the scents and the natural essence of the candles. Just overall a very cosy welcoming shopping experience with unique candles you won't find anywhere else!

This is one of the best treasures in York. Sarah was so gracious in her welcome, so warm and vibrant when providing requested information and enthusiastic and detailed in her knowledge of the products. The products themselves are what drew us into the shop in the first place. I wanted to bath in the aroma, it is honestly that good in terms of quality and attention to detail. Having looked for many months now for the correct essential oil for my body oil I have finally found what I want. The bonus? I am an ayurvedic practitioner and we believe specifically in the power of nature. Well, Born of Botanics is ethical in their commercial outlook as well as instrumental in the future of small businesses in York. I have already checked the calendar for when we can get back there and will be keeping a beady eye on posts here to ensure I am ready to buy the best that is available here. It might end up being expensive for me . . . as everything that they do is the best ! ! ! ! !😍

What a delight to the senses. Excellent customer service with equally beautiful, well conceived products. Set in the very heart of York this lovely shop is ideally located and draws you in by its well decorated shop front and window display. Inside is uncluttered, light and airy allowing you to concentrate on the absolute stars of the show, the scents. You have to try them to believe them, amazing! The scents they produce are unique and, for me at least, brought back many happy memories. I won't give away the details as you really need to try them all and waft yourself away with the clouds. Go try and buy, well worth it.

I It's a scent sensation! have enjoyed many of Alex's products, and her hand poured candles are the perfect addition to your home or are a gorgeous gift x they burn beautifully and the scents are incredible! If you are in York and you love scent please visit this wonderful shop. I visited in a family trip and came away with beautiful candles and scent diffusers for my home. It is a shop where you are welcomed to take your time and sniff everything ( which I did) , I wasn’t rushed around and was able to chat over which scents I preferred. The candles are now burning brightly in my home, they are such good quality. I will definitely visit again when next in York. Thank you.
