Small, out of the way, rural church with tranquil & attractive churchyard. Distinctive for its closely clipped mature Yews lining the path all the way to the porch. Unfortunately, Borley church continues to attract thrillseekers & paranormal enthusiasts, many of whom seem unaware that the neighbouring rectory of such infamy, burnt down nearly a century ago. Supposedly, some evidence of haunting continues on-site, including encounters with the so-called 'Borley Nun'...

Ed and Lorraine Warren came here in the 70’s and discovered a ghost nun. This nun went on to inspire “The nun” movie. Fascinating stuff.
