I was a bit cross so didn’t make another appointment the second time it happened but today I decided to give them a call to make another and they aren’t answering the phone. Luckily there are several other opticians in Winchester to choose from.

Boots Opticians Winchester has cancelled two appointments without informing me. The first time, I went in and the store was closed, but no one contacted me before. The second time, I even called to confirm that my appointment was not cancelled and was re-assured everything was ok. But at the store they told me the optician went home and that no one could attend me. Waste of time and money. The staff did not apologise and laughed as I was leaving.

Staff at Boots Opticians cannot be faulted. I attended with very sore, red, swollen eye, as i could not get doctors appointment and could not drive to hospital as vision blurred.They fitted me in for an emergency eye appointment and were very thorough with eye health tests. Even though the shop had closed by the time tests were completed, they were in no rush to complete the tests. This has now been followed up by my doctor and have appointment at hospital. Thank you Boots: well done!
