My glasses fell apart last night so I took them, more in hope than expectation, that Boots would be able to fix them. Despite no appointment and short-staffed Richard was able to sort out the problem. Well done but I do recognise the problems at this branch particularly with phone answering. Hope they can get the rest of the service as good as my experience today.

It was very thorough eye test and eye consultation. i spent 4 hours in store and did not feel for a second that i am wasting my time. I saw Hawa for my eye test who was extremely knowledgeable, very honest, gave me helpful advise. then i saw Zahra for contact lense consultation. Zahra understood my needs as i tried wearing lenses in past but could not get used to. she made sure i was comfortable throughout the appointment and also get me booked with Lekan for setting up my subscription and to learn how to wear contact lenses in correct and easier way. Lekan was wonderful. even though he was quite busy with some of the work, he took his time to make sure i get everything done in one day.he was very patient with teaching as well. i still need to go in to see zahra for which they went out of their way to get me appointment suitable to my schedule. There were 2 other gentlemen who also helped when i was there. such a lovely team and not pushy at all! recommend 10/10

Yes, they are completely hopeless but it makes for an interesting visit! I've been coming here for 23 years. This morning on checking in I was asked if this was my first visit! I arrived 5 minutes early at 09.05. As usual staff were wandering around and having chats in pairs or groups of three. There was plenty of gossip to entertain me. There was very little focus on the work in hand. At 09.17 I was served by a member of staff who had simply been chatting to his colleagues barely 3 metres away from me. I was then taken to the test machines where my eyes were checked. Rather than give me his complete and undivided attention the assistant thought it was appropriate to help other members of staff and leave me waiting with my chin on the machine. Poor. Not the first time. Back in 2015 I complained to the manager about the dysfunctional service. Nothing has changed. There seems to be a complete absence of management on the shop floor. Bizarre and those who have been working there for a few years should show a bit more leadership. Can't wait to visit again.

Understandably Cry when your teeth are pulled out @ dentist,BUT to be shouted at,angered and made tearful at the boots opticans is VERY LOW. Never happened in all my years. Demonised. Optican refusing to see you because of in house policy, but my contract plan is with Boots not with a particular optican! Told to "go elsewhere". Told "Can't help you". My thoughts - Why are you in this job? Held my ground, made them do their paid job. Lacked professionalism,etiquette. Would you expect this behaviour from healthcare professionals? Unwarranted behaviour. #Boots #eyecare
