Sadly seemingly getting a lot more expensive, some items seem to be sat for a few weeks. It's getting to the point some items are not far off the new price (on occasion ive seen them for more!). I understand it is a charity shop, but it needs to work both ways, it needs to undoubtedly help the hospice but I feel there is a need to provide affordable items to the public, to those just starting off or struggling, if anything now more than ever. I have held back donating here now because of this and given items to charity shops that I feel price the items more fairly.

Fab huge warehouse of furniture and other home accessories (books, mirrors, home gym equipment) with a fab short term pop up vintage area. This should be continued even if on smaller scale 😜 Love that current eBay auctions are also displayed for closer inspection

First of all, sales raise money for a really good cause and sometimes you can pick up a good bargain so it can be worth a look. However, staff are very "hit or miss" in terms of customer service ability. I've been told to "move" by a staff member who was pulling a cart behind me and I didn't know he wanted past. My partner has been blamed for misplacing a yellow receipt which was apparently meant to be stuck to furniture we bought, only the woman serving us had handed it to him and said "this is yours". I've also had an item broken during delivery and when I realised and went into the shop to ask about it I was told staff had "probably thrown it in the bin" - the staff member didn't apologise, didn't offer to go and look or ask colleagues. I'd bought the item, it was broken while in their care and they didn't even apologise. That same staff member has also had a rude attitude at other times, as though anything she is doing is far more important than waiting customers and that customers are nothing but an inconvenience. Yes these people are volunteers, but that means they're there BY CHOICE. No one is forcing them to do this job so they should at least provide good customer service. There are a couple of friendly staff as well, one guy in particular is always friendly and helpful, but it really is hit or miss. The shop regularly sells broken and mouldy furniture. They have an eBay store for more collectable items but they're kept behind a roped off bit so they can't be properly inspected before you bid. It's a bit worrying that very obvious mould is being put out on the shop floor, what other potential pests and contaminants could be lurking in items if they aren't being properly checked beforehand? Delivery is also pretty expensive if you aren't able to collect items yourself. Might be worth a look but ultimately you're better off just donating to the hospice and/or buying from other charity shops instead.
