    This is the fourth Premier Inn I've stayed at this year. The previous three were all updated but this one hadn't yet been done and it showed. However I do hope that when it is freshened up the windows can still be opened as the air conditioning, set at a minimum of 19°, isn't enough especially at night. Walkability: A reasonable walk into York centre.

    Nearby activities: Not far from minster train station micklegate bar. Not far from the river Ouse Walkability: Probably bit too far if you’ve got walking issues Food & drinks: Really lovely cooked breakfast. Everything done perfect

    Close to the station and a short walk to the city centre. There is a small car park but an NCP is nearby and you can get a reduction - just ask for a ticket at reception. The hotel staff are excellent and the food is hot and plentiful, chef always checking and replenishing where needed. Breakfast table booking is advisable at busy times (Easter, school holidays etc) The hotel is currently Easter 23) being refurbished in stages so there will be some noise between 8 and 5
