Absolute gem 💎 I waited to long to get to wallasey to give them a try . I cannot fault it . The biltong is TOP TIER . Not only the bilton but it hosts all the other items you would expect and crave ! Brien was there to greet me at the front with the most comforting accent. He is most helpful and made the whole experience that much better . Couldn't rate higher .

A friend took me to Boets Biltong today as she thought it would be a good treat on my visit to Wallasey. She had never been to the place herself but had always passed it and thought I'd like it there because of the SA treats. I was very shocked to see the old South African flag on display at this shop. Out of curiosity I asked the person serving us, I believe his name is Dave, why he had this flag. He immediately got defensive saying an old lady had given it to him as a gift and he would much rather have that flag than the new SA flag on display. I asked why because I genuinely wanted to know why a fellow South African would feel this way and if it's something we could just talk about considering the history of our country. The guy was extremely rude, told us to that we can leave because he's not going to talk about this. I understand his right not to want to talk about certain issues, but he didn't want to acknowledge nor understand what I was saying about what the flag represents to me... And I just don't understand why he would have that flag on public display if he was not prepared to talk about it. I was not fighting but he raised his voice so much that a fellow customer had to ask him to calm down as this was not a way to treat customers. Anyway, I just think this is quite embarrassing and bad a bad taste to be hanging this old flag because of what it represents. I will definitely spread the word about this business, their apartheid beliefs and their attitude.
