I visited this shop this afternoon to see if they sold the particular yarn I needed to finish a project. The owner (I assume) was very aggressive and annoyed with me for a) not using her shop before and b) for only buying one ball of yarn when I did visit. I was made to feel cheapskate for wanting 'the cheapest yarn and guilty for daring to buy online previously. She could have been so different and tried to make me feel welcome. Instead, I couldn't wait to leave the shop as I felt I was under attack. As a result, I don't feel inclined to go back there. The only good thing I can find to say is that she did have the colour I wanted.

Lovely local find! Very helpful shop owner. Much prefer to buy locally and actually see the yarns when I'm choosing them. Very friendly to children and also offers workshops. I'll be back soon.

Visited this lovely little shop today, for the first time, and I have to say I’m very pleased so far with what I bought 😊 At the moment, the company I normally buy from are sadly not selling, so I’m having to find alternatives. But, regardless, I think this place is lovely and possibly a new favourite! It’s lovely being able to come into the store and talk to staff, and get recommendations - instead of ordering online. Defiantly going to visit again.

What a lovely little shop, my daughter wanted to learn to crochet but despite looking through books & YouTube she was struggling due to being left handed so we called into the shop for a bit of advice, the lady who works in the shop was so helpful she instantly picked up her hook & wool and started to show my daughter what to do, there was another lady in the shop (Jen from the opticians) & between them both they were showing my daughter how to crochet but as they were right handed so it was hard for my daughter to pick it up with that another lady came in to purchase some wool she said that she was left handed and could crochet before we left the shop my daughter had a long chain that she had crochet herself and was so happy, before we left we purchased a better hook & thicker wool, what a lovely friendly, well stocked shop. Thank you so much to the 3 lovely ladies for all your help.

Well, my nan had a very poor experience in this shop. The lady in the shop wasn't helpful and quite frankly rude. My nan wanted to purchase a pattern at Bodkins but the lady wouldn't let her have the pattern unless my nan brought wool from her shop as well! My nan explained that she already has enough wool and would like to just purchase the pattern but the lady bluntly said no. Surely a sale is a sale at the end of the day. We shall not be returning to this shop or be recommending it to others. Very disappointed.
