Bob is an exceptional teacher who can accommodate players of all styles. My son is 14 years old and loves his rock music. He has been having tuition from Bob for a couple of years now and we couldn't be more delighted with his progress and I know he has learnt so much with Bob's guidance. You'd be hard pushed to find a better tutor than Bob - In addition to his talent with the drums he is also a really kind, accommodating and thoughtful individual.

My playing has improved so much in the time I have been working with Bob. He has a wealth of experience as a professional drummer and his teaching sessions are full of pro tips and relevent content, done in a relaxed and friendly environment. In a field where there is so much information available, it is great to find someone who can teach you what you need to know through their own experiences and knowledge of the industry and help you develop your skills behind the drum set. Definately worth 5 stars!

As an experienced drummer but lacking technical expertise Bob initially helped me with rudiments but this soon developed into practical ideas which could be incorporated into my playing very quickly. He is quite simply an excellent teacher.

Bob has been teaching my daughter for over four years, and has been a really excellent, supportive and patient teacher for a young drummer (she started when she was only five). Would really recommend.

Been with Bobby for almost 5 years now and have always found him to be patient and understanding. He always listens and responds to my questions and specific needs. In addition to lesson content, Bobby has helped me with various challenges I have raised in several of the projects I have been involved in, and always offered and demonstrated solutions. Lessons are focussed around my interests of music and slowly builds lesson complexities to stretch and enthuse me. He has a wealth of professional experience which he talks of and passes on useful remedies. I’am a mature student and understand that it is my responsibility to develop my skills and interests for which Bobby is a constant guide and motivator.

Having known Bob for some years as a colleague, he was the obvious go-to to teach our autistic son. Since his lessons began, Bob has brought confidence to his playing, and has helped him to explore many different styles of playing, and the lessons are now the highlight of our son's week.

My 12 year old son James has been having lessons with Bob for 2 years now - Bob is not only an outstanding drummer who plays with the famous Glenn Miller orchestra but an amazing teacher! James has already passed Grades 1, 2 and 3 - all of those with distinction and is now starting to show real interest in jazz, all thanks to Bob (none of us parents are musicians). Can not possibly recommend more!

I'm not a musical person so can't comment on Bob's achievements though they look great to me. He teaches my youngest to play drums once a week. We've seen great improvement and real enthusiasm after each lesson. While grading isn't the point of the lessons (he's playing for the fun) he is ready for his Grade 3 Rock School; he's not 12 yet and only been playing about a year. Couldn't recommend him more if you're looking for a great easy going teacher.

Bobby Cleall is a phenomenal drummer and educator, having worked with Buddy Rich, co-written Steve Gadd’s drum book Up Close and written numerous articles for Modern Drummer. If you’re a professional drummer looking to increase your big band chart reading skills or an amateur drummer looking for an unbelievable teacher in South East (UK) then look no further than Bobby Cleall. His knowledge and passion for the instrument are immense. I’ve studied with him for a number of years and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
