RUN do not walk to book with the Doncaster Dog Training Company!!! Rhiannon and Jade are an amazing team in Doncaster and we cannot thank them enough for helping us with our 11 month old Golden Retriever - MAVERICK!! We were having a lot of problems with general obedience, walking, resource guarding, and pretty much anything else you can think of (I think I sent Rhiannon a massive list when booking on for the initial consultation). We were desperate for some help, but had a tight timeline (less than two months) as we were relocating to the USA and Rhiannon and Jade worked with us to make it happen. We selected the bronze package and it truly has been life changing. We cannot wait to continue using the training videos provided. THANK YOU DOG TRAINING COMPANY - DONCASTER!!

When I found the Dog Training Company, we were at a point where we didn’t know if we could manage our young lab for much longer. She was destructive and reactive (in an excitable way) and just unruly. When we came for our assessment and I was told no food would be used during training I honestly believed it wouldn’t work but, Bella hasn’t had a treat to bribe her to do anything since that day! Now, at the end of our course, we have a lovely family dog we can enjoy and love and take with us on adventures. I cannot believe the transformation! Rhiannon has helped us so much and we cannot thank her enough! If you are ever in doubt about whether this is the right place for you and your dog, I can 100%, hand of heart tell you it’s the best investment you will make for a lifetime of happiness with your best friend! Couldn’t recommend this company enough. From start to finish, we have never felt judged or felt bad about having to ask for help. I love that their ethos is based around praise and incentives, as opposed to bribing your dog with treats to do what you want. Our dog trainer Rhiannon is honestly the most supportive and understanding person to have been around our tricky dog. We have a German Shepherd, just over a year and he has been a very difficult dog to train (mainly due to stubbornness!) but Rhiannon never gave up and never allowed us to give up either. We were getting to the point of not being able to leave the small area of our home with how reactive and pully on the lead our dog was becoming. Now, we have this amazing knowledge and the right tools to keep our dog on the right path. He’s becoming more and more of a delight as each day goes by, and it’s all down to this company and Rhiannon. Thank you!

from the moment I met with Rhiannon I felt that I had made the right decision. Rhiannon listened to my worries and gave me a clear plan of action. I felt instantly at ease and that I wasn't a bad furmummy. I realised that there was some 'back to basics' i needed to go back to but i was more than happy to do this. I went home following our first session and started to make the recommended changes. All through the training I could see changes in Otis' behaviour and how he would start to respond to me. I could also see changes in myself, which is also having a positive impact on Otis. The triangle now makes sense and if I didn't have the Relationship with my dog then the behaviour wouldn't change. I can now say I feel that I am pretty much at the top of the triangle and with a few tweaks. Rhiannon was just great with Otis and her way of teaching / advising was just perfect. Initially I felt walking Otis was a chore because of his constant lead pulling and reactiveness , this now is a delight and love taking him for walks. I cannot recommend Rhiannon enough. Thank you Rhiannon, love Amanda, John and Otis x

Attended training here with our out of control 2yr old Lab! We were really struggling with heel walking and pulling on lead with some reactivity towards other dogs …… basically he was ruling the roost! The sessions not only help and support you but also give a great insight into your dogs behaviour and more importantly the owners behaviour! Rhiannon, Jade and the team at Doncaster were fantastic and guided us step by step and now we are on the way to having the dog we always wanted. Honestly it’s hard work tears, tantrums and a lot of laughs but the rewards make it all worth while Would highly recommend Nicola, Sarah & Jackson

Absolutely cannot commend both Rhiannon and Jade who have worked with my German shepherd over the past few months. From being totally untrained (both myself as a first time dog owner and the dog himself) to feeling confident in what I’m doing to teach him effectively. The price is on the high side, but it is worth its weight in gold for anyone in a similar situation to myself.

After months of watching the dog training company on Instagram and wishing it was my dog making all the progress I was seeing, I decided to invest in our dog too and I’m so glad I did. Rhiannon may not have a magic wand (unfortunately) but what she does have is a lovely approachable personality and all the knowledge I needed to make the changes necessary for a calmer home life and walking. I never felt judged or rushed to try and understand a concept. I can honestly say the whole time was enjoyable …even in the rain!! He’s still work in progress but I can see a big difference in his behaviour and trust. I now have the pleasure of telling him instead of him telling me….and he still loves me just as much!! I would definitely recommend Rhiannon and the dog training company and I will be back to build on the progress we have already made.

If you're thinking of investing in any training for your dog, look no further. I am beyond words over how pleased we are that we chose The Dog Training Company. They were amazing. The service, the ease of it all and the above-and-beyond ethics of the staff proved to be worth every penny. We had a large cross bread dog who came from rescue with little knowledge about her background. Due to lockdown in her previous home, she had received no socialising and simply didn't know how to behave around other dogs. She quickly taught herself that any reaction would do and quickly got it wrong, suffering the result of a reactive dog who attacked her. Our dog then became reactive herself, and would "burst" with very little prior warning. Walks became nerve wracking and the life we enjoyed with our dog became very different. We invested in professional dog training, after trying the "cheap" way with conflicting and failing videos and online posts. There is SO much more to the training programme that this company offers, and without working on the foundation level, you would get no where. Without the training we got, we would still be no better off with our dog. Since completing her training in just over 12 weeks, she is a completely different dog and so many people have complimented us on her nature and mannerisms. We can go back to how we used to enjoy our dog, with calm and confident walks, exploring places both familiar and unfamiliar and all whilst knowing our dog is at her happiest. What more could we all want from this! Worth double what we paid. I personally had become nervous and realised I was also adding to some of my dog's behaviour, so this was also worked on as a team during our sessions and I regained my confidence in handling my dog, dealing with everyday situations and knowing what to do/not to do. I was so grateful for the extra empathy and time the staff spent training me as well as our dog! The staff were wonderful and you could tell each and everyone genuinely loved their "clients" and owners, and they were never patronising with the training they gave us. It was a genuine learning experience and something you could tell the staff had every faith in themselves too. As owners, we had to work hard between sessions, implementing all we had learnt and trusting the process. We found in the early days, our dog (due to her mix in breeds!) was stubborn and would tend to push the boundaries before accepting her fate, but it was literally an overnight difference with her. We could burst with pride at how well she has taken to her knew training and she is so much happier for it now. Thank you endlessly to Adam, Rhiannon and Jade at the Doncaster site. There are not words to describe what you have done for us. Please, please, please don't put off investing in dog training. I wish we had done this so much sooner! The Dog Training Company is exactly what we were looking for.

I came to The Yorkshire Dog Training Company (Doncaster) due to struggling with my 8 month old Mini Dachshund (Riley). He was starting to pick up bad habits and I couldn’t leave him home alone due to separation anxiety. Rhiannon quickly got to the bottom of the problem and steps were put in place to correct these. All the way through the experience Rhiannon was contactable if I had any issues, and was willing to offer advice. For mine and Riley’s relationship getting in touch with the team and starting our training was the best thing we ever did. I now feel much more in control of him and he has even started to make major progress in staying home alone. Our dogs are in our lives for a long time so investing in them is definitely well worth it! 5 stars for Rhiannon and 5 stars for the training programme!
