Loved it. £20/ph for rowing boat (max. 3ppl) is not bad price. 1 hour of constant rowing was more then enough for me. LOL Nice scenery, but only for my passengers off course, as I kept rowing. 😉 Maybe it could be better idea to take it for 2hrs and have some rest between rowing. Make sure you take some old t-shirt. When became sweat, I had a red marks from life jacket on my t-shirt. There was other motor boats to hire but smaller one was for 4 ppl and still just the same route as rowing boat £47/ph and rowing was more exciting for us. The bigger 8 ppl motor boats you can take through the lock but you have only option for half day 4hrs £215 or full day 8hrs £295, which could nice picnic trip, and you can even park the boat and leave the boat to go somewhere for lunch etc.
