Serial warranty avoiders as you can see from the reviews! Car battery failed after 6 months. The RAC tested the set up and confirmed a battery defect. BMS then told me to get it tested at Halfords which I did and it confirmed a battery fault. The fault did not conform to any of the warranty exemptions on their policy so BMS told me that a technical expect would call me back to explain. Then I was informed that an expert would not be able to call me. Not surprising as there was nothing to say! I was then told to formally complain by letter and I can guess from previous reviews that I would be asked to return the battery and jump through hoops until I gave up. BMS sell cheap batteries efficiently. But if they have no functioning warranty policy then you should be honest and say that you will not replace batteries under warranty. I could not find one successful case in 515 reviews - buyers beware.

Buyer beware: I am sad to have to write this review as i have purchased many batteries from BMS. However, you only know a good supplier when you have an issue. I had a leaking battery after 15 months usage and went through their "warranty process". I supplied all readings, several pictures and detailed email diagnosis (I am a fully qualified technician with many years electrical experience). After completing all documents they agreed that the battery was leaking. However, they said this was due to the battery appearing to be the wrong one for my vehicle and was therefore overcharging causing the leak. I pointed out that at the time of order, their website recommended this battery for my vehicle, and it was the highest spec that they recommended (Varta battery). I had no response on this from them. Also, other battery websites list the battery as suitable for my vehicle (I found it very strange that now the recommended battery from BMS is a type 110 when the standard battery for my vehicle is a type 096 - which is what BMS recommended for my vehicle at time of battery purchase). I also stated that an overcharging battery would cause excessive gassing and therefore there should be signs of leakage from the breather - this is not the case as it is leaking around the negative terminal. I informed BMS that I was not looking for a replacement battery as I had 15 months usage out of it but would like a fair discount to purchase another battery - all that was offered was 10% which is not acceptable when the battery was originally guaranteed for 5 years. As mentioned before, I am sorry to have to leave this review but customers should be aware that whilst BMS pricing is good my experience of their customer service, whist polite, is very poor. If you purchase a battery from BMS then do not base your purchase on the guarantee.

Absolute disgrace! After 12 months the van battery I purchased from BMS would not hold it’s charge sufficiently to turn over the vehicle, following their advice I bought a replacement from BMS then had the old one tested, they claimed there was nothing wrong with it despite not holding a charge, the replacement worked fine, BMS gave every excuse to avoid honouring their worthless warranty. Take my advice, shop around for a company that 1 honours their warranty process and 2 has a better Customer care ethos.

Do not trust this company. They have caused us losses in less than 4 months. Terrible management and customer service. Complaints are ignored and they blame you instead of helping. They send wrong items and do not take responsibility. AVOID.
