Blythe House has let me down on more then one occasion. And this has affected my daughters too. I now have to travel to Tree Tops hospice, which is miles away, and organised by the MND association. Unfortunately this is a too long journey for me, so I haven't been able to attend.

The staff here are very supportive. The nurses go out way to help people On my day Wednesday we had art class in morning. Volunteers also chat with people. The nurses also liaise with there patients. We get lunch which is very good. Good wholesome meals. Made by expert cook and assistant. Afternoon we have patient liaison do group activity. Teaching you how to cope with life during and after cancer and other illnesses They also do counciling also bereavement counciling. Complimentary therapies like reiki massage feet legs.physio also there to help. They also run one day mindfulness courses on Saturdays different times of year . Also have Wednesday night mindfulness prostate group breast cancer. Medical specialist clinics on Mondays . Macmillan support service. There is also a home hospice care service run by group if dedicated nurses. They also have a great fundraising team run by Becca and Beccy we had great night doing glow light walk also Jingle bell walk dressed as Santa round pavilion Gardens . Blythe is a big inspiration to people of highpeak. Very dedicated staff.
