  Can’t recommend this company enough. The booking service was easy and incredibly welcoming but the real professionalism of the company shines through with their removals team. They worked extremely hard, took great care of all of our items and really went the extra mile to make sure the move went without fault. Great blokes as well. Honestly worth every penny.

  All-in-all: certainly above-average movers, but this is not a white gloves service. I booked BlueSky Removals to move from a second floor studio to a second floor one-bedroom flat in May 2022 within central Southampton. I decided to pack my own boxes before they got there, but apparently they offer a packing service. The lady who dealt with my enquiry was very friendly and a delight to speak to. I was able to book on short notice (3-5 days) for that weekend on Saturday morning. The only downside was I was asked to arrange parking. I said that I couldn't since it was public parking. On the day it turned out to be no big deal. The price seemed high to me (£500 + VAT [£600 total]), but I figured it was easier to go with that than rush about trying to compare quotes on short notice. Quality is more important to me than price anyways. They sent three people and a 3.5 tonne truck. Having three movers probably pushed the price up a bit. The only thing three people would have been useful for would have been the mattress probably, but then it does also mean they get it done quicker, and perhaps more carefully. They were scheduled to arrive between 8-9am. The man, who was very polite, called me probably just before 8am, confirming the job. In the end they got there just after 9am. When the movers learnt that there was no lift (I had already told them this), two of them started swearing which I thought was a bit inappropriate. With regards to the move, they were no-fuss and got on with it very quickly. Some of the movers were not native English speakers, which was only a problem because it sometimes meant they didn't understand me. But it didn't really cause any major issues, other than a very awkward moment or two. I had a good chat with some of them too, so that was nice. It was advertised that they would wrap my large furniture items in protective material, but I did not see them do this. But maybe that's just because I left slightly early and/or because I didn't have much furniture. They did however assemble and disassemble furniture. There wasn't much to do in that regard for me, but I imagine that would be useful for some people. In the end they ask you to sign what is essentially a disclaimer, saying that nothing was left behind and that nothing was damaged etcetera. It also asks general questions like "Were the movers polite and professional?" etcetera. In general I would advise against signing this, since it does not benefit you at all. On the sheet it asks you to tick whether the movers invited you to check that the truck was empty; they did not invite me to do this. After the move I saw some scuff marks on some of the walls in the corridor, but it was very tight and also on the second floor (with no lift), so this is perhaps to be expected. It seems there was virtually no damage to any of my items, which is great, although I have not checked every little thing. Be aware that on their website they have some terms and conditions which disclaim liability for some things (e.g. £50 maximum liability per item). These T&Cs weren't brought to my attention when I booked the service, so they were probably not a part of my contract anyhow, but I imagine that if something had gone wrong that they would have tried to claim that they were. I also found it strange that although I was told that I could cancel at any time at no cost, the T&Cs state 'If you postpone or cancel this contract we may charge according to how much notice you provide prior to the agreed removal date'. So either the T&Cs are wrong or what they told me was wrong. Perhaps they don't use these T&Cs anymore? Overall, if you can afford it, I think this is a decent and efficient moving service. But I don't think it is a white gloves service, as they advertise it to be.

  No complaints! This removal company provided an absolutely splendid and stress-free experience! I have moved houses a few times before, but this time it was so easy to do. The employees are very efficient with their timing and they also helped with assembling our furniture in our new house! Overall, they were all very friendly and professional with quick responsiveness. I’d definitely recommended them to family and friends and would hire them again if needed!
