I visited York today for the first time in ages, and I must return soon if only to revisit Bluebird Bakery. I popped in this afternoon for something sweet, and came away with a Honey & Spelt Cake. Sadly I can share no evidence of this with you as it disappeared rather quickly! I cannot recommend them enough - delicious!

Not impressed, got a ciabatta that just is not a ciabatta. You can't just throw some flour on the top of a white loaf and call it ciabatta. Also I get the feeling that this loaf was more than 24 hours old at the time I bought it. Seriously unimpressed

Fantastic baked goods!! It’s not a sit down cafe or restaurant but definitely go in and get some bread and pastries. The best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had, such flavorful dough. The rosemary and sea salt focaccia is great. They have great pastries you just need to get them before they sell out.

Loved the city, York 🇬🇧, loved the market place, loved the street location, loved the shop… and really loved the food! Freshly made daily. Quaint decor to match the entire setting. A quite varied delicious selections. We enjoyed a tasty unique creation, a tomato 🍅 and olives rolled in a seasoned baked pasty. Delish! We engaged in a conversation w the lovely lady running the shop, perhaps the owner. Describing their bake process made this taste even better! 😁
