I have been here a few times each time with my children, I thought it would be a lovely place to meet up with your other mum friends. Turns out if you have a child that is old enough to be out of the push chair it is challenging at best, and not helped by the staff's anxious attitude. The last visit I was asked to keep my children quiet because I might upset the other customers. I looked around to see a happy couple chatting and laughing away with no care in the world (it is either that or they can hide their rage very well). So, if you have young children who behave like young children don't take them there. Perhaps save it for when they are 10 or older. Should you decide to bring a younger child remember to bring a muzzle or spray bottle.

Lovely little cafe and it's so relaxing to sit there and paint whilst drinking tea and eating cake. Staff are always helpful and have a good range of items you can choose to paint. Easy to book and very good value.

Lovely little business. There is a large selection of pre-made pottery items ready for you to paint. You can order a drink and a cake whilst you spend time creating your own little masterpiece. Once finished you leave it to be fired and glazed and collect at a later date.

Bloody love it at the Blue Owl! I was gifted an owl pot making workshop and had such a lovely time. Everything was explained, an abundance of tips and tricks were given and the pair that run the place are just lovely people! A wonderful place to spend a few hours crafting. I've just finished a baby print session for my 9 month old and the handprints came out amazingly, thank you so much! š š

Absolutely fantastic visit out experience if you'd like a little art in your life. The staff were amazingly friendly (we booked our table and items to paint in advance, and everything was set out for us) and the coffees & juice were fantastic. There's also a lovely range of cakes and snacks to buy and the entire atmosphere is relaxed and bright. The Blue Owl does have a car park with around 12 spaces (that I could see!) So try to car share or public transport if you can! The prices of the pottery pieces to paint may SEEM a little high at first, but remember that this includes firing the finished piece, paints, brushes, dabbers, etc. It takes app 2 weeks from paint to kiln/to you. And we can't wait to pick out pieces up and book in for more. Our toddler aged child enjoyed himself for a good hour making messy paintings, and even used the helpful colour chart to pick out what he wanted. We absolutely hope to go again and again.
