A great narrowboat in a great location. Owners Ben and Liz ensure a personal and well-organised welcome – and that guests are feeling confident to take the boat out on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Ben rode with us for a few miles on the first day, ensuring we knew how to operate the swing bridges and locks. You have two attractive options from Skipton with this boat: east through the fine Aire Valley – and into fascinating industrial heritage and architecture (like Salts Mill, with its grand proportions and Italianate towers); or west – via the canal's meandering and scenic route into Lancashire. The boat is well kitted out and (important for us – booking during mid-Oct) toasty warm with its central heating running. Plenty room to relax in the galley and a good-sized, well-appointed, bathroom. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable few days. Would I book Blue Otter again? Yes, definitely!

Had the most amazing week on the Blue Otter the boat is beautiful inside and out. It wS nice to have coffee, tea and milk and other goodies when coming on board .Will definitely be back for a visit 👍
