Hi Bell.....the group thoroughly enjoyed the "SUP" beginners session on the Grand Union Canal. All the members of the group expressed the view that the instruction given was first class along with the encouragement needed when you are 'newbies'. The weather was kind and we all thought it was fun so much so that we all want to do it again! I would thoroughly recommend this activity with Bell to all age groups.

As a complete novice (Never stepped on a paddleboard before) Bell was extremely welcoming and patient. We met at 10am and from the get go everything was just calm and structed with everything going at my own pace, I even needed to stop a couple of times to catch my breath which was no trouble at all. I would recommend Bell (Blue Fin Paddling School) in a heartbeat to anyone else thinking about getting some lessons.

I went for a 2 hour lesson with Bellamy and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He met us by the water, helped me with my own board (i’m a beginner) and my friends had boards he had all set up and ready to go. He gave us a short lesson from dry land to ensure we were safe and got off to the best start. What I loved most about the lesson was that Bellamy clearly enjoys what he does. He wants us to learn and to enjoy it and do well. He was clear with his instructions - and did well to split the time and attention between the 3 of us as we all had differing areas that needed attention. He is calm, friendly, approachable and fun. And he really knows his stuff. The lesson is just the right length of time. He even recommended a fabulous pub by the water for Sunday lunch afterwards. A perfect trip out! We learnt a lot. Have been back for a further lesson too. Highly recommend for any level as he can easily adapt his approach. Excellent!

He is patient and informative and has given me the confidence to try new techniques. His calm and reassuring approach will suit anyone wanting to try paddle boarding - you’ll soon be hooked!

My friend and I spent a very enjoyable morning with the lovely Bellamy paddleboarding down the grand union canal in Berkhamsted. Bell was really clear with his teaching and gave some great tips to paddle board better. Thankyou Bell. I will certainly recommend you to friends interested in having a go at paddleboarding.

Highly recommended. If you want to learn how to paddleboard look not further than Bell. He's a brilliant teacher with a friendly, intuitive and professional approach. Great for nervous beginners with his calm guidance, but also makes it fun and if you've been before like I had he's good at giving extra tips to help you progress. Lesson aside, it's a really good way to try something new and a lovely relaxing way to spend a couple of hours on the canal. I am definitely hooked. Thanks Bell.
