We used Blue Design Kitchens to carry out a major renovation of our kitchen in 2023. This involved removal of an internal wall and installation of a brand new kitchen. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. We cannot recommend Steve highly enough. His proposed design perfectly utilised the space we had. Steve spent a lot of time consulting with us to ensure he fully understand what we were trying to achieve (in our case, a need for more storage!) Steve has extensive experience in kitchen design and knows what will work and what won’t: he offered invaluable and practical guidance whilst still making us feel like we were in control of the overall design. He patiently put up with our endless questions and changes of mind and was always happy to incorporate tweaks into the design when requested. During the build, Steve was very hands on and project managed every stage ensuring the various tradesmen arrived when required and he oversaw any delays when the inevitable unexpected issues arose. He was at our property almost every day keeping a watchful eye on proceedings. Above all, Steve is incredibly accessible; he always answered his phone (even out of hours!) and is very sympathetic to the stress that goes with any major renovation. The quality of the products he uses are second to none; solid, well built and durable. We are thrilled with our new kitchen, it has made a massive difference to our lifestyle as a family and we are indebted to Steve for all he has done for us. The best thing I can say about Steve is that he properly project manages the build and takes full responsibility for everything that goes on. That was utterly invaluable to us. On top of that, Steve is just a genuinely decent bloke, a pleasure to have in our house and by the end, he felt like more of a family friend than our kitchen man! If you want an expert to redesign your kitchen, ask Steve, you will not be disappointed.

We had a small (ish) kitchen and utility room plus a downstairs office that we wanted to open up into a much bigger kitchen. The rooms we had before just didn’t work and we were forever tripping over each other moving around. We also had limited storage and the rooms were quite dark. We explained these three issues to Steve and he came up with a plan to remove the walls and his design for the new kitchen gave us infinitely more storage space. Removing the walls meant much more light entering the room. Steve managed the project and contractors throughout and had to problem solve constantly. He found excellent builders (thanks Andy and Darren), plumbers (Graham you’re a star) and plasterers (sorry boys - can’t remember your names but your work is faultless). Special mention goes to Tomas who fitted the kitchen beautifully but always seemed to be able to do pretty much anything. A very handy handyman! Steve - thank you for the design, the planning and the fulfilment. We are delighted with the result and everyone who sees it is amazed. We wish we’d done it years ago. Steve has an excellent eye for detail and provided a design that has made the best use of the space, as well as providing several recommendations that we had not considered. Blue Design Kitchens can be highly recommended. From start to finish everything was handled extremely professionally and efficiently. The design was created quickly and to the type of specification I was seeking. The project management enabled me to know exactly what would happen day by day and all the contractors were friendly, polite, helpful and tidy. To have my whole kitchen removed to a shell had seemed rather daunting, but any reservations were quickly diminished from day one. I now have a dream kitchen which is constantly being admired.
