FAQ
What is the student-to-teacher ratio in your play school?
At Blossoms PreSchool & Nursery, we maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure that each child receives individual attention and care. Our ratio is typically one teacher for every six to eight children, depending on the age group. What kind of curriculum do you follow and is it age-appropriate?
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which is a UK government-approved curriculum for children aged 0-5 years. Our curriculum is designed to be age-appropriate and focuses on the seven areas of learning and development including communication and language, physical development, and personal, social and emotional development. What are the qualifications and experience of your teaching staff?
Our teaching staff are highly qualified and experienced in working with young children. All of our teachers hold relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent, and have undergone enhanced DBS checks. In addition, our staff regularly attend training and development courses to enhance their skills and knowledge. What are the safety and security measures in place to ensure child protection?
We take the safety and security of our children very seriously. Our premises are equipped with CCTV cameras, secure entrances and exits, and fire safety equipment. All visitors to our school are required to sign in and out, and our staff are trained in safeguarding procedures. We also have a designated safeguarding officer who is responsible for ensuring that all children are safe and protected. What kind of extracurricular activities do you offer to enhance a child's overall development?
We offer a range of extracurricular activities to enhance a child's overall development, including music and movement, yoga, cooking, and art and craft. We also organise regular outings and visits to local places of interest to broaden the children's experiences. Our aim is to provide a fun and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow in all areas of development.Reviews

When I started looking for somewhere to send my 6 month old daughter (who is now nearly four years old!) I visited lots of nurserys. From the moment I walked into Blossoms I knew it was perfect. It has real family feel and all the children mix together. My daughter has flourished there, her drawing and writing skills are exceptional, and she has learnt how to behave well too. So when my second daughter came along it was a given that she went to the same place, and suffice to say she has also come along in leaps and bounds. Both girls adore nursery and love the team that work there. They often go on trips, or simply just get outside to jump in muddy puddles!!! If you are looking for a nursery that will treat your child like their own and who consider your child's needs at every step, then Blossoms is the place for you. ps. there has been a bad review of this nursery based on their child being "traumatised", I would like to clarify that my children have absolutely never been traumatised by Blossoms - sure there are days when they are clingy and don't want me to leave, but that's a totally normal thing for a child to do and if they didn't do that occasionally then I wonder about my own skills as a mother!

Absolutely fantastic nursery! The staff are smart, caring & really connected with the kids. They are always coming up with fun learning activities & are up to date with the most current play/learning research, finding ways to incorporate it into the day to day. There’s also none of this nonsense of putting kids in different age rooms. All the kids are together, the little ones learn from the big kids & the big kids watch out for the little ones. Just like it would be at home. This has allowed my kids to stay together (there’s only a 2 year age gap & they’re inseparable). For me, this really marked them out as something special. They keep you really well informed with a chat whenever you pick your kids up and also provide regularly updates on your child’s progress via a parent portal. I’ve already recommended this nursery to all my friends!

My little girl has been going to Blossoms nursery since September when we moved up from London. She's very happy and looks forward to going to see everyone. We'd only been there a few weeks when we went to the local library for a baby class and her keyworker was there with some of the nursery children, off she went to sit on Emily's lap instead of mine! Her speech has come on very well and I know she's happy there as she never complains about going. We regularly get photos and updates on what she's been upto. I like the fact that she mixes with all ages as she loves being with the older ones. We've been very happy with Stevie and the other girls at Blossoms.

Not sure who one earth gave 1 star but they are so wrong! My little boy loves Blossoms and all of his friends there! He started when we moved to the area when he was just over 1, after a terrible experience at his old nursery (cried all day, each day from when he started nursery at 8 months old). We thought we were going to have the same experience with his new nursery (Blossoms) but were so surprised when he settled in straight away! He looks forward to going every day, which I could never previously imagine happening! The staff are all lovely and keep the kids busy doing all sorts of crafts, play and learning. The small size of the nursery and mixed age group definitely helped my son settle and grow and he learns so much from the “big kids”. Would definitely recommend!

My son started here when he was 8 months old and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. The staff are lovely, approachable and knowledgeable and my son adores them all. He always has a fantastic time and I can see that they all care about all the children so much. As a parent, I love Blossoms as they keep me so updated as to how he is doing and what he has done during the day. They made his transition from being at home into nursery as smooth as it could possibly be. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

My daughter has attended Blossoms for 3 years. We chose Blossoms for its family feel and we weren't wrong. Blossoms are an amazing team who care so much for the children they look after. My daughter has enjoyed every second of her time here and we will be so sad for her to leave in September when she starts school.

Well I’m not sure who that person is that gave a bad review but it’s definitely not what I see.. My little boy has been going since he was 1 and a half he loves it, every morning he wakes up asking to if he’s going nursery.. His speech has come on so much and it’s amazing what he comes out with and that is thanks to the girls/team at blossoms.. it is a very different setting to a normal nursery like a childminder but then he gets the best of both worlds that’s how I see it.. days out.. bonding with different ages.. nothing is to much trouble.. I fully recommend it everybody that asks for recommendations

Worst nursery ever. If you want to see your kids traumatised, plz send them to this nursery. Horrible experience.
