Drove all the way there from Accrington after having emailed re a seasonal pitch. The website does say 'you can visit anytime as open all year!' The gate was locked shut with some sort of bike lock and there was no one about. I rang the number on the sign and was answered by a very rude woman who just said she was in a meeting and put the phone down. I preceded to text the number explaining that we had travelled a long way to come and see the site only to be answered that she was the owner and the site was shut so tough... in so many words. So the site is open all year to people who are on the site, If you want to have a look I wouldn't bother...the owner is too busy to bother with potential customers. I did email asking to visit but didn't receive a reply. It was a long 4 hour round trip to be met with rudeness and a couldn't careless attitude. She could of at least told us to go in and have a look around and explained where the pitches where so it wasn't such a wasted journey for us. There is no reception or office that we could see and a constantly locked gate. Not really somewhere I'd want to leave My van.

Had our caravan sited here since 2013. We like it here, it's our happy place. Not everyone's cup of tea though. Its generally quiet, but there's undesirable folk everywhere no matter where you go. That said it's tranquil, very basic amenities, lots of wildlife.

Have had our caravan on the site for six months now. Site is very quiet and relaxed with lots of space. Location, with the Skipwith Common nature reserve literally a stones throw away (or less), is fantastic.

What a gem of a place, having been let down elsewhere the lovely owner had a pitch we could use. Set in a wooded area the site is beautiful, it has a lake to walk around and is very peaceful. Would definitely return here.

Beautiful! So quiet and tranquil and the owner was very accommodating when we rang and booked super short notice after being let down somewhere else. Really impressed and would love to return in the future.
