A very pleasant place for a walk, get back to nature and experience fantastic views. Many trails for outdoor activities and relatively easy strolling on the plateau. Great view from the temple of the winds across the downs. Free parking and adequate sign posting across the area. Worth a visit!

I wanted to give it 5 stars because the park and walk itself is very beautiful! But there's a few reasons why I didn't. 1.It's pretty hard to find. There is hardly any signage. No signage for car park, no signage for where to start the trail and not much signage following the trail. One thing that baffles me is that car gps always leads me to the wrong entrance. I personally advise finding the blackdown car park to start (if you're driving). 2. It's easy to get lost so please don't do what I did! Instead bring a fully charged phone, power bank or 2 powerbanks and download a hiking app (which drains your battery very, very fast). Bring a snack or 2 because although it says the hike is about 1.5 hours it took me 4, with rests and going off track. 3. Car GPS is really not the best at locating hiking trails, in a car it makes it even more difficult when there's no signs around. I searched 'temple of the winds' and it brought me to the entrance of a private cottage not temple of the winds which is only accessible by foot. Lesson learnt, always search for nearby public car park! Those are the negatives here are the positives. 1. Very freindly and kind locals. 2. Views are absolutely beautiful. 3. Hike itself is pretty adventurous. 4. Car park and park itself was very quiet. I went on a weekday and it was peaceful bliss for most of it. The odd dog walker passes but that's pretty much it. If you want peace, here's your place. 5. There's a local town nearby. Here's some things to be aware of. 1. There are plenty of houses, private land and farmlands situated around the park, be respectful. 2. Wear hiking boots or wellies. 3. The altitude is high. 4. The nearest town is about a 10-15 minute drive, if you're walking it's a treck.
