I had my first baby at BBC. Had the most lovely birth and experience here. The rooms are amazing! They’re huge and have an en-suite. I had a water birth as there was a pool in the room. They dim the lights and put on a star effect lighting which was very calming. We could play our own music and they brought us whatever I needed like a birthing ball. You feel so well looked after here. As I had my baby in the very early hours of the morning they left me and my husband and new baby to sleep in the room in the double bed. The next morning they came in with breakfast!! Couldn’t ask for better care. Really hope I can have my next baby here too.

I was lucky enough to birth my baby at Blackburn Birth Centre as a low risk, first time mum. I had the most positive and amazing birth experience at Blackburn Birth Centre. The place I first met my baby- so calmly, safely, gently and positively- magic really❤️❤️. The midwives and BBC has and always will have a special place in my heart. The care we received was just amazing. We were greeted on arrival by my midwife and I felt instantly safe and calm. I had a water birth and had completed a hypnobirthing course previous to birth and I was completely supported in my birthing preferences. We had a beautiful room with a birthing pool, double bed for my partner and I, en-suite and double doors onto a lovely patio. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay a second night at BBC for breastfeeding support which was invaluable and the midwives were there when we needed them throughout the night! Thank you to all of the amazing midwives especially the ones who looked after us so unbelievably well- Bridgette, Jenny, Katriona (my mum- who we were lucky enough to have as a birth partner), Carla, Larissa, Pam, Amaarah, Alison, Karen, Jill... to name a few. Jackie on reception was lovely too. I loved returning for check ups and have always had such a lovely experience with lovely staff. I felt bittersweet leaving such a lovely place- sad because of how wonderful the place and because of the incredible experience I’d had but obviously excited to get babe home. Thank you Blackburn Birth Centre for everyone who works there and all you do! Jess x x

The safest, calmest most welcoming place with amazing staff who are encouraging and supportive. I had my baby girl here in 2020 and couldn’t fault anything, from the moment we arrived we were respected, treated kindly and professionally cared for. She was born in the water in a beautiful room, my partner was able to stay with me and our families all came to visit the morning after. Looking forward to hopefully experiencing Blackburn Birth Centre again when pregnant in the future, even attending antenatal appointments there felt relaxed and positive. The midwives and atmosphere is just what I was looking for and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you :)

Incredibly unsafe, at least two of the midwifes i dealt with had no idea what they where doing i was low risk but had a horendous experience which im not fully going to go into but lets just say i could have died and the experience they have is not near enough and im sure the main midwife i dealt with wasnt even fully qualified as she had no idea what to do id highly recommend you do NOT go here specially if it's your first child even if your low risk i had to end up getting rushed to Burnley hospital luckily the paramedics knew what they where doing.

Had my little boy here in 2016 and couldn't fault it at all, a much better more comfortable experience than having my daughter in Oldham hospital in 2014. Was supported and looked after all the way, lovely clean room with pool and nice outside area, own bathroom just so relaxing and calming compared to the hospital experience, gutted I have to go to Burnley hospital to have my third and can't come here again.
