Absolutely brilliant day - went though all the stages in a relaxed atmosphere, you’re really encouraged to take ownership of your own work and luckily Jude is always happy to undo everything you do wrong (which in our case was a lot probably!). Can’t recommend highly enough. He also plays some banging tunes throughout the day.

Just completed a 2 day Damascus knife making course and it was fantastic!! Me and my dad had so much fun learning and creating the knife from 2 steel bars! Jude is a fantastic teacher and mentor throughout with lots of knowledge! Great sense of humour aswell! Would highly recommend to anyone!!

I don’t know where to start, maybe with what an amazing life experience! This weekend a friend and I took the 2 day Damascus knife course at Blackberry Forge. I chose to make a 20cm Nakiri style billet set in to a Purple Heart wood handle and I am in love with the end result. Bladesmith Jude Berry was such an amazing, inspiring and hilarious teacher. He is patient, he’s educational, he has the perfect balance of demonstration and allowing you to be hands on. I’ve left the weekend buzzing and wanting to go back. A life experience I will never forget.

Me and my son attend a knife making course and it was fantastic. We really did have a brilliant day. There was 4 people in total. The South African couple who were there were really nice and friendly and all had a good day. Great Christmas gift and we will go again for sure. Excellent knowledge and friendly teaching

Arrived yesterday and made a boning knife under Jude's watchful eye, in a group of 5 with three of us on a one day course and 2 on a 2 day course we spoke about out ideas and needs and designed our blade shape. Then Jude set us to work .showing us not just the technique but explaining with every step why this technique is used and how it will benefit. He would demonstrate then watch and correct then let us have our fun, in a safe and constructive manner . He was a very fun and friendly guy to be around and obviously an expert on the forge I would 100% book again and make the next knife in my set.

I went with my adult sons. It was absolutely fantastic. We all made different things. Jude is very professional. And cool at the same time. I would love to go back now that I have a little bit more experience. And do a 3 day sword corse. It's a very different day out.

Just got home after a day of knife making with Jude. A fantastic day with everything explained and and all the help we needed. Nothing was rushed and no pressure to have stages complete by a certain time. Did we enjoy the day? Yes Would we go back? Certainly Can't recommend Blackberry forge enough.
