FAQ

What types of shochu do you produce and what is the alcohol content?

We produce a variety of shochu, including barley, sweet potato, and rice shochu. Our barley and sweet potato shochu have an alcohol content of 25%, while our rice shochu has an alcohol content of 35%.

How long have you been in business and what makes your shochu unique?

We have been in business for over 10 years. Our shochu is unique because we use traditional Japanese brewing methods combined with modern technology to create a high-quality product. We also source our ingredients locally and use only the best quality grains and potatoes.

Can you provide information on the production process and ingredients used in your shochu?

Our shochu is made using a combination of natural spring water, koji (malted rice), and the main ingredient (barley, sweet potato, or rice). The ingredients are carefully selected and then fermented and distilled using traditional Japanese methods. The resulting shochu is then aged for a minimum of six months to further enhance its flavor.

Do you offer tours or tastings of your brewery?

Unfortunately, we do not offer tours or tastings of our brewery at this time. However, we do sell our shochu at local markets and events, as well as online.

How do you ensure the quality and consistency of your shochu?

We take great pride in the quality and consistency of our shochu. We use only the best quality ingredients and follow strict brewing and distilling processes. We also conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our shochu meets our high standards.

Fantastic beers, brewed on sight. What hasn't been mentioned is it's also a really nice cafe. We call in every time we visit the Quays. Staff are always friendly and it's interesting to see the brewing process in the background. In my opinion, best cafe at the Quays.👍

Just popped in with a friend to see what they had and we were instantly offered free tasting sample which we happily accepted and ended up walking out with two 2 pint bottles of beer which they cheekily call a growler. The staff are very knowledgeable about the products they serve and always have new beers to try so it's always a surprise definitely recommend.

Friendly spot, staff are keen to let you try samples. Imperial stout comes recommended. Range of locally made beers, and Gin's from local producers Edit- have to say unfortunately the can of pilsner purchased was really poor, over carbonated, a strange washing up like taste, not a good Alex. Maybe a bad can?

The 11% Imperial Stout is particularly tasty. And the staff are absolutely lovely.

What a fabulous new addition to the Royal Quays shopping outlet and still a work in progress. Fantastic beers on offer and the barman on duty, John, is very knowledgeable about beers. Plenty of cans to take away as well, very impressed.

GO HERE :) Great beer - most importantly. Modern and interesting stuff, the IPA was epic. Friendly, enthusiastic, beer-loving staff. It's a brewery taproom in a shopping area, so a little quirky. Great outdoor area too.
