I had originally marked this as four stars. That was before the warden came and instructed me that throwing a rugby ball over a 5m distance between my extremely competent son and I wasn’t allowed. It was only allowed so long as we did it a certain way, which he couldn’t explain, nor could we be bothered to listen to. We saw no signs up banning ball games, but it was alright to throw other objects around. He instructed us, my son (9yrs old) should leave the campsite and throw the ball around outside. Being a somewhat conscientious parent I don’t feel this appropriate as my son would have been a long way from site and sight. When I immediately complied, the guy then made a point of trying to over explain the ridiculous rule. We had wanted to camp at this site for a couple of years, sadly the poor attitude toward families enjoying a game of catch, and the fact family changing was locked,, has lead us to believe this site is not family friendly, in fact should probably mark itself as adult only.
