One of the most brilliant places I've ever been in. I need to come back with a huge bag to buy loads of books. Could have done with a computerized library catalogue of what is there though!

A great non charity bookshop that has a very large collection of very interesting books. Prices are not too bad at all, I will definitely try to visit again. Randomly found a book I had been looking for for ages! Stuff nicely arranged per topic, you can spend hours browsing.

Why haven't I reviewed this bookshop before? It's a rarity outside of Charing Cross Rd to find a proper bookshop. There are the remaindered booksellers of course (Golders Green Rd) and odd branches of Watermans here and there but not too many options. This place is lovely to browse. Lots of serious Art books and proper grown up Fiction and Non-fiction. There's a lot of vintage stuff as well as modern paperbacks. Well worth a browse if you're in the Village of East Finchley. The owner curates the window displays with themes that are always changing and charming. I'm especially fond of the painted name above the entrance in classic Pulp Fiction style; it's a typographic joy to behold. Lovely staff too.
