I bought a boat from these guys last year but didn't have much chance to use it. When I had it serviced this year by my own mechanic there were a few things that made me think that the service wasn't up to what I expected. A series of emails to Rob eventually gave me peace of mind and I'm grateful to him for taking the time to sort it out. Overall I'd say that the team are professional and trustworthy. If they had done the impellor I'd have given 5 stars!

Been a customer of theirs since moving to Cornwall a good few years back now. They have seen us through all our service and maintenance needs expertly and professionally. and really know their stuff which is most important when relying on their work when at sea. As well as the usual tasks they have seen us through our experiment putting twin outboards on a 40 plus year old Shetland, which was gave us what was probably the fastest one out there! They have now looked after us through our latest venture, we are 2 years into our 'new' Warrior 165 for which they have supplied and fitted a brand new Mariner 75 for us. Brilliant engine, such an upgrade from 2 strokes of yore. They welcome us at their 'new' location at West Looe and if we are too lazy to take the boat to them will visit us and deal with it on our driveway. Warranty work on the Mariner done with no fuss or cost to us. Always helpful and even supply the fuel additives we need for our classic car engine to deal with the dreaded E10 stuff. Also very good value for money compared to Main Brand car servicing! They do like a choccy bickie if you are popping in to see them!

I cannot rate this business highly enough. We were 300 miles from home and stopped for a few nights here on the River Fowey. We found ourselves with a major electronic problem. We contacted Rob from Black Dog Engineering after google searching help and he arrived within the hour to help work on the problem for us. Despite a few hoops and hurdles Rob had to get through, finding and ordering parts that may possibly help get us going again, in a relatively short space of time, much to our relief we are now up and running. We can’t praise Black Dog and Rob, highly enough. Professional, trustworthy and friendly!! A real cut above the rest!!!!
