Many years ago (1989) I bought two amplifiers from BK which lasted over 20 years of heavy use, when I needed a Subwoofer for my home cinema in 2014 I bought a Monolith from BK, delighted to see they were still going and making there products in the UK. The Monolith has been fantastic and is still going strong giving amazing sound quality and depth. I have recommended BK's subwoofers to several friends over the last few years and they have all been delighted. A first class British manufacturer.

Bought the BK XLS200DF after consulting with Tom at BKE, this is a beautiful aesthetically pleasing unit that fits effortlessly into any audio set up, my initial fears of it just being a boom box were quickly allayed once connected to my system. Excels with both movies and music ! I can’t comment on much higher priced subwoofers because I can’t see what they can bring to the table that the BK subs don’t already offer at a fraction of the price.

Simply outstanding customer service. Bought a P12-300SB-FF subwoofer and from switching the unit on for the first time there was a noticeable hum, one of those noises that is in the grey area between normal and faulty. I contacted Tom at BKE who put together a DC filter cable for me to try. This didn't work so he arranged for the sub to be posted back to BKE. The sub has come back and is now perfectly silent. No fuss, no argument, no hassle. Oh and the subwoofer construction is first class and sounds incredible. At a guess an equivalent product would probably cost at least 50% more from any company that sells via a dealer network rather than direct sale. If you are looking for a subwoofer and are considering BKE, I would strongly recommend you give them a try safe in the knowledge that any issues will be put right.

A mans shed
I bought 2 monoliths subs a while ago and the low end bass is truly amazing..add a dsp and boost the 20-40 hz range and you will not get a better sub for under 500 quid.. granted the dsp is needed but you you need one anyway you just don't know it yet.. all depends what bass you enjoy I'm not keen on loud 80-200hz notes but the lows are great. All personal preference though

I bought a BK XXLS400 6 years ago to replace an ageing Rel subwoofer which was well past its best. The BK sub was a revelation. As with all subs, it's worth taking the time setting it up properly to get the best out of it - and it's very adjustable. And over the past 6 years, it's been a brilliant bit of kit. But here's the best bit: It went wrong so I contacted BK and got a quick reply from a super helpful person called Tom who sent a video showing how to remove the amp from the sub and said they'd have a look at it. Removing the amp was dead easy and I decided to drive to them in Southend rather than risk posting it. I arrived and handed the amp over and after no more than 10 mins, it was handed back to me all fixed. And the cost of repair - absolutely nothing. Now that is what I call absolutely top drawer customer service. Could not be happier.
