Can’t ever get through to the surgery I had to call over 40 times, to go down there and call from outside the building and they answered on a second ring. Phone system very cleverly set up in the hopes of the patient giving up trying to get an appointment. Terrible

Have had no problems with the surgery . It takes a while to get through on the phone but have always found the receptionists to be helpful and friendly . I wouldn't want their job .

It is as good as it can be in these difficult times. Yes, getting an appointment is a challenge, but it is still posible. Better phone system would help a lot. Midweek is less busy, so you haev better chances getting appointment there. You can also try Thornhill branche, as it is not as busy most of the time.

They only do same day appointments but you can never get through to them on the phone... by the time you get through hours after opening all the appointments are gone and you do the same thing all over again tomorrow... and on it goes. GPs don't always read e-consults properly or medication requests and you can receive a sick note / prescription or a declined prescription. However the e-consult is usually the quickest way to hear back by far. Some GPs / receptionists / staff have been really good, however when originally registering found the 'rules' overly strict and unfriendly- as in a receptionist wouldn't take in a form at reception 5 minutes before 10am or something even though I had to get to work. I dread phoning them.

There is as much parking allocated as you could possibly fit on the site. With some dedicated disabled bays too. An onsite pharmacy is attached to the building open to 10:30pm ex Sundays.

Can I first of all clarify that the reason you can always get an appointment at this surgery is because there is no pre booking system. Pre booking takes valuable appointments and time that people invariably fail to turn up for. Yes it takes 90+ calls to get through but generally you'll get an appointment that day. I know many friends who cannot get an appointment with their GP for weeks/months. I've never encountered any issues with the reception staff. They have a very difficult job and have never been anything but helpful to me. You get what you give eh?

Not happy with booking system . I work self employed . Trying to make appointment for my bad knee . Can't make appointments in advance have to call 8.30 am for appointment on the day . Ok for people out of work or retired . Useless for working people who really need to plan appointments .

They need a better system for the phones. Having to call and getting a busy Tone and then repeat until you get through maybe never is so archaic. Anything would be better, phone queue system or releasing appointments online for eg. It’s impossible to get through.
