fascinating tour of an important collection of work. I'd have found it difficult to see this work on person so the virtual tour was perfect for me and made it accessible.

This is an extraordinary collection, which was expertly guided online today by Helen Knowles. There is such a wide range of genres and topics covered within the collection, with women's experiences at the core. I travelled through the corridors of Kings College London (virtually) to look upon precious moments of time frozen in a photograph; beautiful goddess-like sculptures; drops of blood which form a map; a neon sign depicting just one word - Mother - and the words within that word become illuminated, Me; Other; Her. I was moved as I began to recall my own experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, which I have so rarely reflected upon, or discussed. I can't wait to see it again.

Did a virtual tour and it was still really powerful - such a variety of pieces and careful curation in terms of the positioning of the pieces with respect to their locations. Very thought provoking.

What an outstanding collection of artwork that is solely dedicated to childbirth. This virtual tour is one of a kind and is a must-see for anyone interested in childbirth and art. The collection hosts some spectacular pieces and varies greatly from images, video, sculptures, and thought-provoking pieces that will invite you to look a little longer! Thoroughly enjoyed the virtual tour. So much insightful information about the origins of the artwork, the artist and also the public response to some works. As a birth photographer, the tour appealed to me in a BIG TIME! I would next love to visit the tour in person. Check out the next available virtual tour dates!

This is a very interesting and thought provoking collection, and being guided through by Elly brought out so much more for me. My tour was online, I look forward to being able to see the collection in real life, but a virtual tour is a good second option and of course you can view it from anywhere in the world! If you are interested in art and childbirth then this is a must see. Highly recommended.

I so enjoyed my virtual tour of the @birthrites_ collection last week. There are some very moving and though-provoking pieces, discussed expertly by artist and academic Hermione Wiltshire. You get a real sense of their impact in their physical locations
