Just been to the Birmingham Midland eye center... went to emergency..as my eyes are in pain, all red..with headache..and eye side get week as well, they all red I have uploaded current pictures as well.... they ask me wait ..and they will see me... after waiting 1 hour the registration desk call my name ...he asked me few questions...and ther was a nurse well... she refused me that they can see me as they don't have a slot.... and said to me go home and book appointment with some other eye clinic...i am still in pain with i think internal infection...i can't believe they can see me ... ..do wast your time to come here...

I would say avoid but sadly this is the only A and E for eyes, however it clises at 7pm so fingers crossed no one has an emergency or accident after this time . Triage nurse is so rude with no data protection protocol. If you have an emergency they will tell you to go home and come back when they have an appointment.Defaults the whole idea of an emergency. The nhs guidlines for me today were not followed. kind ,connected and bold .it was more like unkind brutal with words and committed to getting rid of me asap.not worthy of any stars i didnt even get to see a Dr as the triage nurse said detached retina is not an emergency. Not sure what is an emergency then if losing ur eyesight is not classed as an emergency.

Was sent here urgently from 111 service. Arrived at 1:05 buy 1:40 I had seen 2 triarge staff. Waited for 6hrs still not seen by anyone everytime I speak with I Just keep getting told about there's a backlog. Not even basic observations been done as I have a high pressure of pain on my head and blurred vision and burning eyes that as got worse while in the department no1 helps just keep getting told they are dealing with back log. Poor service

Absolutely amazing every time I have been here (with my stupid self getting some sort of dust into my eye ) they have not made you wait to long & been very kind & caring when In a time of need we all moan about things going wrong but not enough praise for people doing amazing jobs thank you again & keep up the hard work it’s not going unnoticed & im now able to rest knowing my eyes ok as let’s face it our eyes are one of most important things in life we are soon quick to remember that once in pain & it’s thanks to these AMAZING people we can get out of pain & seek professional reassuring help thanks again may god bless you all

Waited five minutes before I was seen by a lovely chap very friendly and knowledgeable who did lots of tests and explained them all. They took an hour and a half and I did not have to wait in between Well done to all the hard working staff very impressed and pleased with my treatment.
