Never done any plane spotting before but a great place to start. Not much there besides a few picnic benches and shelter. Definitely go back with a decent DSLR. Just one thing, parking! It isn't cheap per hour so bear that in mind.

Easy to access area, about a 10 min walk from the terminal. Good views of the planes taking off and landing. Cheap to get to on the train from New Street if you want to get the train in.
