Hosted an event here in October. Jay, the owner, was nothing but brilliant in helping me organise and the staff were fab on the day. All of our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed the food, especially the tapas, with some commenting on it when I’ve seen them way after, it was very very tasty. Overall, 10/0. Couldn’t recommend more!

Nice decor and plenty of up and downstairs seating. My order was incorrect, and when trying to correct this they apparently didn't have what I wanted so the cook changed the order. Average service. The floor staff were 2 young ladies who didn't smile much, but at least were kind enough to discount the bill. No-one came to check if our food was OK. Could possibly do with a more senior member of staff overseeing but otherwise, good prices, nice food and lovely location. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible toilet downstairs.

Had a really disappointing experience today which is a shame as I’m usually a fan of the Birdwood. Ordered an oat milk latte and my daughter a children's chocolate milkshake, both had a really off sour taste to them (confirmed by my sister who tried both also). I politely and apologetically approached the counter and just said that both tasted really off, suggesting that perhaps the milk was off, to be met with a blank stare from the staff. No polite offer to make a new one or even check the milk (I had already paid)? Just silence. Eventually I broke the awkward silence by sitting back down, hoping they would politely offer to make a fresh one or check the milk, but nothing. Anyway, I’ve spent the evening feeling really sick and can only assume this is down to the milk, which concerns me. I really am not one to moan or complain at all, but since my polite approach was met with such a rude (and food/drink safety wise) concerning response I felt it necessary. It just felt really rude, and could have been really easily resolved.
