We were very unhappy about my mother-in-law’s stay in this care home.She was there for 7 years and she was not given a shower on a regular basis..When we did complain Audrey the manager was very rude to us.Also the manager disregarded the fact the family had a health LPA and had our mother-in-law assessed by a doctor without our knowledge .The care home also refused to tell us what medication she was taking and only told us finally after 3 years of lobbying. I would not recommend this care home to anyone!

I cannot express my gratitude to the staff at Birchwood, my aunt was there for 8 months and in that time they showed her immense love and kindness I wish she could have stayed there. The staff were attentive and caring and were so patient with her. There were particular staff members who's care was outstanding too. I highly recommend Birchwood Care home if you are looking for somewhere for your elderly loved one, I can assure you they will be in safe hands. 5 Stars are not enough, Thank you Birchwood!

Amazing friendly staff. My mum is so well cared for. Had a 30 min garden visit today. First time I’ve be able to see my mum in weeks due to the situation. It was very safe and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much to everyone. You guys are amazing. Xxx
