Really interesting little museum, lots of information about the local history of what was an important RAF base in WW2. Be sure to visit the chapel too.

This is a wonderful museum, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I absolutely loved my time there and will visit again soon. Please be aware though that for a museum it is very small. If you want to know more about the Battle of Britain it is certainly worth a visit, especially as every inch has been made good use of, but please ask the staff and make use of their knowledge to get the most out of your time there. The beauty and tranquility of the Memorial Chapel will stay with you.

I really enjoyed it and it is great value for money. The cafe has regressed slightly from my previous visit and also there didn't seem to be a tablet available to take round although I did not enquire at the desk. The museum itself is fascinating and I liked the hands on nature of lots of stuff. I struggled with the wall as it is difficult to hear what the pilots are saying above the background noise of the Blitz experience and I don't know how you can improve that in such a relatively small area. The shop seemed very expensive to me and the children's range a bit limited. Would I go again yes would I recommend yes. This sort of history must never be lost nor forgotten and the tribute to the many as well as the few is superbly done.
