This restaurant had popped up on my Insta a couple of times so after a failed visit to Borough Market for food, we decided to make a short trip to Big Town. The staff were really nice although the empty table near us took an extended time to clear. The seafood platter was a real highlight featuring some huge prawns and shrimp with squid inna beautiful garlic sauce. The beef stew was okay, but my bar is set real high as my partners home made one is excellent. That being said, a little more spice would have elevated it. The jollof wasn’t bad, it really is one of those dishes that can genuinely be cooked million ways so no issues here. Not bad at all, I think it certainly warrants a second try.

I want to give a huge thank you to the Big Town team for making my birthday such a wonderful experience. A special shout out to Emmanuel, Timi, Ada and all the staff that worked tirelessly to make the event a resounding success! I hired the restaurant for the evening and it was truly an amazing night filled with great vibes, delicious food and bottomless rum punch! The best way I can describe the team at Big Town is “accommodating”. From the very beginning they worked to ensure that I could have the event that I envisioned and thankfully it turned out even better than I imagined! My guests can’t stop raving about the beef stew and plantain, those were fan favourites and went very quickly on the night! I would highly recommend, run don’t walk!

I booked a bottomless brunch in this restaurant for a birthday celebration. I had an excellent experience, the staff was accomodating and really friendly. Especially Timi who was available for all my inquiries. The food was tasty and the portions were quite big. I would definitely come back here.
