UPDATE Following the reply from Big Rock, unfortunately the temperature issues still haven't been sorted. I attended Hub on Saturday and it was ridiculously hot. Everyone at the centre was struggling. I attended Bond today to find the air con isn't working and it was too hot for me (made me feel queasy) so we went to Hub. Unfortunately Hub wasn't much better although the staff did try and put on every fan going ut was still about 26c inside. It would be nice if Big Rock could put out on their social media if they're having issues with cooking systems during hot periods. It would save people wasted journeys. It was only a couple of weeks ago Bond had air con on after I requested it and it was like a fridge! So much easier to climb in and safer imo. I thanked that staff member who turned it on for me. I've been climbing at big rock bond and big rock hub for about a year now. Both centres have great walls and generally the route setting is really good. However I've been really disappointed lately when I've come to either centre and found them so hot I can barely climb. Today was the same temperature as outside, which was in the 20s and I could only manage one climb cos my hands were getting so sweaty that I felt as if I would fall off the wall. When I've asked for the air con on, on most occasions I get told it's not working, it is on (when it isn't) or they put the ceiling fans on which don't cool it down. It's getting that bad that I am considering stopping climbing but I really enjoy it. So this is a pleading request to both sites to pleaseeeeee put the air con on when it's warm. It's so frustrating when you can't do what you normally find easy and I felt like asking for my money back.

EDIT: Added some justification following the below comment. As climbing centres go they charge a premium but you don’t necessarily get what you pay for. I’m sure it would be great for a kids day out but to me the setting felt a bit lacklustre, meaning if you’re a seasoned climber the problems aren’t hugely exciting. There is a good spread of problems and definitely enough to keep the average climber busy, but I felt only a few of the problems I climbed (up to around V7) were really enjoyable.
