The food is mostly fine though I found that everything was weirdly calorie dense, almost 600 for an unbuttered bacon bap is a bit strange, but it's not a huge issue. A person in my party got a Victoria sponge cake and wasn't able to eat it was visibly undercooked and dense, but it happens, the other desserts were nice. One member of staff was quite hostile but the rest were polite. The toilets were clean, but the sanitary bins were full to the brim at 10:30am. Could be better, I don't think I'd eat here if I came to the gardens again.

Most if the other reviews are spot on but no one has mentioned that you can no longer go into the cafe without paying the entrance fee for the gardens and so will be an expensive lunch if you aren't interested in going to visit the gardens too.
