I wish I had read these reviews before contacting the BHF. I have been a donator for years and decided this time to donate a lot of furniture as doing a downsize move and read they were happy to do clearances. The drivers originally agreed to take all but 1 of 22 items being donated and 2 trips had previous been booked for the collection. The first was a disastar as turned up at the end of the day with a full van, so could only take 4 small itemes on that occasion. On their second and final collection date they removed 2 items and one of the young men refused to come back in to my property, as afraid he was going to hurt his back lifting all the items he was sent to collect. Its so sad that vitual money needed to fund this organisations activities is not caputured due to the lack of skills their staff have in effectively dealing with collecting and delivering furniture and the lack of professionalism when dealing with their customers as the young chap who refused to collect the rest of our items, on both days constantly complained about the job and how heavy everything looked to him and he was so rude and arragant, thought if he constantly spoke in Polish, no one would understand what he was saying, my husband certainly didand said if the chap had come back he would have asked him to leave as so rude! Would never donate anything to them again or have them step foot in our house again as appauld by their behaviour! To the BHF, if your serious about wanting to raise serious money for research, you also have to be serious about the calibre staff you employ to deliver that promise!!

Incapable and lying staff. Waited for a collection, the driver called to say he will be 30min, I presume he called again and hanged up as I was about to answer after 2 rings, then never showed up, claiming the address was incomplete. If he would have bothered to come to the address, he would have seen the address is right. I will certainly never donate to them again.
