A group of us visited today as part of an organised coach trip. What an amazing little place! My partner and I had the steak, mushroom and ale pie and it was delicious (as good as home made). The pies don’t look particularly large but then you look again and see how deep they are and jammed packed with meat. You don’t leave here feeling hungry that’s for sure. We did feel so sorry for the waitress who had to face a very awkward and unreasonable customer. However, it was testament to great customer service how they bent over backwards trying to accommodate this person (to no avail sadly but not for lack of trying). We would highly recommend this little place - great food, lovely staff and super location by the canal. If I lived in the area I’d be a regular!
