I would not want my worst enemy to be a patient here. I was a patient here while it was still an inpatient unit and transitioning to a day centre, which made the care awful. It felt as though there was more focus on the new model than on the care of the patients. No dietician, terrible dbt and communication. The staff had a lack of understanding of mine and other patients illnesses. I felt unsafe and developed serious behaviours that I still struggle with due to lack of care, especially at night. Whenever me and my family would ask for something, they would tell us to wait until the new model. When I came off my section and the unit became a day centre, I refused to go in and they discharged me, honestly I left willow house with more issues than I came in with. Please do not go here if you can avoid it.

My experience with willow house was nothing other than abysmal. I was let down by management and the whole of the MDT staff, whom chose very poor decisions with regards to mine and other patients mental and physical health. They made rushed, uniformed choices, which were very unhelpful in the view of my parents and myself. Many times MDT staff were rude and disrespectful, ignoring our needs. They never had the right staff and in the 11 weeks I was there; before ending up in general hospital, I didn’t once receive psychology, however i was supposed to have it 3 times a week, causing a deterioration in my mental health. Would not recommend or advise this place to anyone

Me and my family have been a extremely let down with willow house. The management are unable to treat young people and make decisions that are definitely not in anyone’s best interest. They have a huge lack of communication and no sense of understanding. They are plain rude and disrespectful and made decisions that impacted my mental health greatly. After being at willow house for almost 5 months I was discharged against my family’s and community teams wishes and was then sent to another unit 2 weeks later. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They helped me in no way and made my illness worse than when I came in

would not recommend sending anyone here. I ended up with more trauma coming out of it then when I went in. there was never a period when I felt safe here. it is such a horrible unsettled place and it is full of unsupportive, non-understanding and just downright rude staff apart from a group of the most amazing support workers and nurses. the building in tself was breaking down. I was forced to move rooms as my ceiling was leaking. this was a constant problem.
