I ordered a topper made of Russian hair, because my Chinese hairpieces just lasted 5-6 months. Our whole contact was online and yet, Petra understood what I wanted and produced the topper in the size and thickness I wanted. Since the colour was a bit too dark , Petra asked me to send it back and she dyed it in the perfect tone. I am really happy with my wig. It’s the best decision I made and the best wig I now have! Prior to this I had an attached wig with a not so good front seem line and it was very uncomfortable as it was attached my hair. So glad I changed it. It’s a very comfortable wig and stays on. I have worn genuine Russian wefts for many years and my usual supplier sadly went out of business due to the Ukraine conflict and issues sourcing hair. I was worried about finding a new supplier as so many offer fake "Russian" hair. After researching online I came across Petra and she has supplied me with the most beautiful Russian hair I've ever seen! She responded quickly to any questions I had and sent me some videos of the raw hair bundles on WhatsApp to help me choose the most suitable hair for me. A topper was hand crafted EXACTLY as i wanted. Petra sketched drawings showing the color combinations of hair at the edges, the top and the back. The hair is beautiful and SO soft. The topper has an extra large base, so it’s really more like a half wig, just as I wanted. The hair looks just like my own hair but of course MUCH BETTER than my own hair. Petra was lovely and VERY meticulous and attentive to what I wanted. I have some very high end wigs but this hair and the customization of the hair piece just for me is the BEST.

Two things - In over 23 years of working in the hair industry including 10 years with extensions, I have never been spoken to in such a rude, unprofessional manner as I have been repeatedly by Petra the owner. I half debated writing this because with being in the same industry, I’m aware how hard it is to build a good reputation and that is often earned from years of hard work. That being said, I’ve been a customer of Berenice’s for over 5-6 years now and time and time again I’ve had problem after problem that I feel it’s only fair to others for me to share my experience. The hair is touch and go. Some pieces I have been genuinely insulted at how Petra believes the hair is even remotely acceptable to show. One client that flew from Berlin for a few days to have a mesh integration system fitted had to delay her flight home in order for me (after having the battle of the century) had to get the hair swapped. At first Berenice offered affordable decent quality hair but now, the prices have shot through the roof and she includes inches in her measurements that are years over due a hair cut. So when ordering 20” be aware that at least 2 -3” need to be trimmed off in order to look like normal hair. Also don’t let me get started on the sewing quality of the wefts - you will lose a third of your bulk in the first month due to shedding hair, and when you send for a resew (I’ve had to nearly every single time) the weft becomes stiff and inflexible due to the amount of thread reapplied. I could somewhat account for some of this low quality by simply attributing to individual specifications and the nature of using individual doners, but Petra’s rude, offensive and sheer arrogant refusal to ever accept any responsibility and find a way to turn the blame around to everyone else is beyond me. Like I said, I’ve never dealt with anything like it before and after my last dealing with her, enough was enough. This is a poorly ran unprofessional hair wholesale business with pretty low standards, and even lower customer service quality. Just be aware before purchasing.
