Dreadful garage, had a problem with the boot release due to water damage so required a new camera and sensor to the tune of £800. Two years later I have the same problem due to the water leak not being stopped and causing the same problem . No taking this up with trading standards . Do yourself a favour guys and stay well away from these cowboys !

Sl500 vario roof issue. Went in after I had got the roof back into position after it went out of sync with the micro switches and was stuck open. Apparently a common problem ( the flaps sag excuse my description) with these roofs. So I knew what the issue was, merc have produced a upgrade fix for the ratchet mechanism. So car went in computer said ‘no problem’ and spat out a few unrelated issues due to the stereo had been changed. But I had reset the car back to normal. I mentioned the fix to the receptionist showed her the website and the problem. I had the part number for Mercedes £44 She had to take my phone to the specialist. Basically didn’t bother reading the issue or the fix or basically be bothered to come and speak to me as he had never heard of it . £93 for a diagnostic. Booked it into another specialist who knew of the problem.

Absolute waste of time. Especially rose ranting on the phone. Had me waiting for work to be done and told me they can’t warranty a part from main dealers if I supplied it. Spoke to an actual Mercedes specialist who said they would

Didnt actually have any work done by these guys but am in the industry and have seen tons of their paperwork. It is always spot on. And today they chose to help me even after knowing i had never used there business and wasnt in there interest in any way other than being friendly. requested the same help from main dealers many times and never been successful. Not positive I’m afraid. Had to change my timing chain and hopefully resolve some engine issues that I was concerned with. been told minimum of two weeks the car needs to stay with them due to parts being delayed etc. (normal bull$$$t). Left the car and after week and half I gave them a call to find if it’s ready only to hear that it’s been “fixed” but also had additional parts that needed replacing and no one bothered to call and explain. When asked them how much is bill, it went up with another 600. There was bit of discrepancy between the technician and the receptionist but I let that slide as long as the car is fixed.. They changed the engine oil after the service and just found recently that the filter is broken and needs replacing. Been told that this is a common thing and don’t really suspect they broke it but they even didn’t bother to tell me that. Faulty parts left, other replaced ?!?! It baffles me how they call themselves Mercedes specialists. Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change
