I had a doubtful pleasure to work in BCC for 3 Years and I am more than happy to post my review, for the attention of all Belfast Area Rates Payers: That council has a really serious problem about staff qualifications; from one side very well educated people apply for jobs every Year not to get them, from another side a group of interest-families, buddies, with lack of qualifications and education, stick together to protect each others' back to keep the warm secure jobs and nice retirement plans at any cost, from Rate Payers' pockets. At this point the problem not exists yet, because well educated people easily can find jobs somewhere else-like I did, and a small number of incompetent creatures can exist as a tumor or parasite, not even being noticed by the system, but a serious problem walks in next: low intelligence primitives generate problems, which intelligent, well educated people with their ethic, self confidence and manners wouldn't ever caused, so problems the pathetic creatures had started immediately goes to the Legal Department to sweep the stink under carpet-unfortunately that particular department also suffers with incompetent uneducated individuals (hi miriam-what was so funny in Employment Tribunal Offices in December..?), so they need to hire expensive external barristers, and that really cost serious money then, which money could have been spent on some important Rates Payers' needs, not to protect buddies and stuffing private barristers' pockets. Example: BCC spent over 25K for two external barristers to stuff their pockets against a pt cleaner with pathetic income £6,800 per annum -where's the logic? did it resolve the problem...? Nope, because the cleaner proceeded against NI in Europe with all the consequences and further money waste; money wasted with no sense then, and it was enough to separate and relocate the cleaner for free or to settle for as little as £1200 to keep the mouth shut... 25k vs £6800? Criminal barrister vs pt disabled cleaner..? A TANK AGAINST A FLY? What so stinky had to be hidden at any cost from Rates Payers' pockets? Why CCTV evidences erased despite clear requests to secure it for investigation? Just wonder, was the cleaner so good or all HR and legal department so hopeless. We will know the ugly truth soon. I work in another council now and happy to confirm my new Council operates with professional manner and I have not noticed any incompetent Officer here: all my Line Managers have class, ethic and are very intelligent and well educated with high qualifications, in opposition to BCC, where my higher education was annoying to my uneducated and mentally limited line managers. It is up to Belfast Rates Payers' are they still going to tolerate that pathology and still feed them, or it's time for changes: I strongly suggest to review the qualifications and competences one by one, every single one. Unfortunately the audit Office also failed to end that expensive cabaret, as usual.

No matter what option you pick when phoning, you can't get through to anyone, EVER! I decided to select the complaints option to complain about this but was told I'd have to wait for this as well! Sort it out, it's embarrassing...
